Chairman's Message
We have come a long way since the beginnings at Alma Ata in 1962, playing a pivotal role in providing traditional modalities of treatment to relieve the suffering of mankind. Medicina Alternativa-OIUCM today is a Branch Campus of Azteca University listed in the International Handbook of Universities and recognised by UGC Sri Lanka.
With the new UN Sustainable Development Goals-SDG’s just declared, we now have a fresh window of opportunity to join hands in a greater concerted effort to improve health and wellbeing using tried and tested integrative therapeutic forms.
Accordingly, our theme up to 2030 is as follows:
" Empowering citizens in the world by promoting Integrative Medicines toward Good Health , Well-being and Quality Education -UN SDGs 2030”
It is my honour and privilege as the International Chairman to invite you to join hands with us – the largest Complementary Medicine organization in the world today, to improve health and well being of people while training competent, dedicated health professionals to meet the growing demands for healthcare worldwide.
We are also taking medical tourism seriously and have been appointed by the Government of Sri Lanka to play a leading role in this respect.
Our Knighthood order Knights St John of Malta coming from 1090 is now ever more active to mobilize the members to support Medicina Alternativa in its efforts.
We have an alumni network of over 150,000 making steady progress in many countries with greater emphasis to quality of education and clinical training. We also received full accreditation from the Confederation of International Accreditation Commission, International Commission of Diplomatic Relations, Human Rights and Peace in consultative status with UN. We are also registered with the United Nations and incorporated in USA, based on the final Charter of January 2000.
Our Global Consortium of Science and Technology is a Partnership of many reputed Universities and Global Institutions of renown functioning in the arena of Science and Technology, bringing their expertise and resources to optimize human potential to live a healthy and prosperous life. It is also a global forum to hold Conventions, Congresses, Conferences, Exhibitions and recognize and reward deserving professionals and academics of various disciplines for their global contributions.
I wish to express my sincere thanks to our affiliated institutions covering all continents who adopt our WHO compatible syllabus using qualified and certified professionals to develop competencies of registered students.
