We are legally incorporated in Sri Lanka with the approval of BOI-N (PVS) 44736 and also carry operational authority via legally registered Medicina Trust deed as mandated by our Charter of 2000.

His Excellency J. R.Jayewardene, former President of Sri Lanka, by Letter No. 196/1 of 25th March, 1988 recognized the Open International University for Complementary Medicines as a privately funded body and in 1998 became its Honorary Patron.

Medicina-OIUCM is a Branch Campus of UGC recognized Azteca University, Mexico North America which is a nationally recognized university by National Ministry of Education. It is Fully Accredited by TRACCERT, Training Accreditation & Certification Organization Canada. a member of AAAC Association of Accrediting Agencies of Canada and a registered Accreditation and Certification Body with the Government of Canada. Azteca University is listed at IAU- UNESCO the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization directory.

Medicina-OIUCM is affiliated to UGC recognized Hamdard University of Bangladesh AND Kainar Academy Kazachstan.

Medicina is approved by Edu.Int in Brussells an IGO formed by treaty and accredited to European Parliament. It has offices in North America, South America, the Middle East and Afric and works  with Governments, Organizations, Schools & Universities promoting Accreditation and  Global Education

Medicina –OIUCM operated ward 5 of the Government University teaching Hospital Colombo South for over a decade treating around 2 million patients free of charge since its inception and training over 150,000 global practitioners of medicine.

In the field of Traditional Medicines, we are affiliated with Deha Dhamma Centre Sri Lanka  incorporated by Act of Parliament 25 of 1992 to practice, promote and conduct, research, into the efficacy of traditional medicines,  and to carry out  higher educational programmes.

Clinical training is carried out under Sir Anton Jayasuriya Teaching Hospital operated by Medicina Alternativa at No: 37 Beach Road, Mount Lavinia, Sri Lanka which is operated by qualified, state licensed doctors both Ayurveda and Western medicine.

We are registered with the Tertiary and Vocational Education Commission (TVEC) of Sri Lanka and Private Health Services Regulatory Council of Sri Lanka.
